My name is Elizabeth Parker. I am a 44 year old mother of three. I'm from Denver North Carolina. Growing up in a small town I was raised in church, my parents took me to church three times a week, sometimes more. I was taught right from wrong from the day I was born. Unfortunately after I had all three of my children I found myself in and out of jail, prison, and mental hospitals. I was in active methamphetamine addiction from the age of 24. In 2014, I buried my mother who suffered from COPD. After my Mother went to be with Jesus, I lost my mind. I disappeared from my family and ran away from the ones who loved me the most. I went to Atlanta Georgia for 7 years. Before I knew it I was even deeper in addiction and other self-destructive behaviors that I ever meant to be. I was slowly killing myself because of my addiction and I hit rock bottom. Being a victim of domestic violence made it harder to walk away and get the help that I needed. Then one day, from a jail cell, Jesus reached his hand down for me and he ordered my steps to Beauty for Ashes. I rededicated my life to the Lord, and I live each and every day for him. I thank the Lord for saving me from myself and I thank Beauty for Ashes for welcoming me with open arms into a place where I could heal from the inside out. I give God all the glory honor and praise for everything he's done in my life. Beauty for Ashes...HOLY GROUND. Psalm 91:4 in the King James Version of the Bible says, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler".
